The STEELMAN 61082 Wireless ChassisEAR is a unique diagnostic device specifically designed to pinpoint squeaks, rattles, and any other troublesome and errant noises across a vehicle's engine, axles, and chassis. It is ideal for diagnosing faulty fuel injectors, bearings, gears, suspensions, transmissions, differentials, and CV joints, as well as issues under the hood. Acting as a high-powered wireless stethoscope for your car or truck, the 4 independent transmitters can be placed in different locations around the vehicle using the built-in clips and magnets or the included nylon hook-and-loop straps. These transmitters then transmit to the receiver, allowing you to listen to the vehicle during standard operation in order to detect noises that are difficult or impossible to replicate in a repair shop.

Each transmitter is assigned its own channel on the receiver, which can be selected or muted individually to help pinpoint the location and cause of a noise. With a 50-foot range between transmitter and receiver, the device is suitable for use on all makes and models of cars and light trucks, as well as various larger vehicles. The kit includes 4 transmitters, 1 receiver unit, 1 set of mini earphones, 4 cable leads with microphone clamps, 12 nylon and hook-and-loop straps, 6 AA batteries, 16 AAA batteries, an organizer pouch, location identifier notepad, instruction manual, and a blow-molded storage case. Please note that the 61082 series transmitters and receiver are not compatible with previous 60635 and 97202 versions.
